BURRILLVILLE- Thomas B. Carter, of Glendale, died September 12, 2013 at the age of 63.
Born in Whitinsville, he was the son of Helen L. Carter of No. Smithfield and the late Fred W. Carter and was the brother of Frank and Ronald Carter, Helen Lavalle, Ruth Goudreau, Lydia Lapierre and the late Fredrick Carter who died serving in the Vietnam War.
Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from the Teamsters Union in 2007. Tom was an active member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge for Free Masons.
Besides his mother and siblings, Mr. Carter is survived by his three children, Heather Carter Anderson, Thomas Carter II and Katie Carter and five grandchildren, Alexandra, Kyle, Nicholas, Aedyn and Christopher.
His funeral will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 beginning with visitation at 4PM followed by a memorial service at 6:30PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
