WOONSOCKET- Joseph A. Beaudoin, Fred, 81, of Woonsocket, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013. He was the devoted husband of Lorraine (Bourget) Beaudoin. They were happily married for 57 years.
Born in Albion, he was the son of the late Donat and Evangeline (Baillargeron) Beaudoin.
Mr. Beaudoin lived most of his life in Woonsocket. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. He was an office manager for the Lafarge Corporation of Canada for twenty years, retiring in 1994. He was a devout Catholic; he taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Agathas Church. One of his favorite hobbies was being a ham operator for many years.
Besides his wife he was the loving father of Diane Beaudoin and Claire Parvin and her husband Michael. He was the proud grandfather of Curtis Parvin. He was the brother of the late Henri and Leonel Beaudoin. The funeral will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 9:00am from the ONeill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Agathas Church, 34 Joffre Avenue, Woonsocket.
Burial with military honors will be in Saint James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Saturday 9-10:30am prior to the mass in the funeral home.
