BELLINGHAM- Roland W. Vallee, 80, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile D. (Rosati) Vallee.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on March 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Eugene and Emelia (Simard) Vallee.
He was the loving father of Marc R. Vallee and his wife, Mary Jo of North Smithfield, RI, Russ Vallee and Kelly of Blackstone, MA, Chris Vallee of Bellingham, MA, and Donna Page and her husband, Paul of West Palm Beach, FL; and leaves his cherished seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Gerard Vallee and his wife, Gloria, Therese Vallee and Marguerite Sherman all of Bellingham, MA.
A resident of Bellingham for 40 years formerly of Woonsocket, RI and he worked as a sheet metal fabricator for Sutherland Sheet Metal of Woonsocket for 20 years. He was a United States Air Forces Korean War Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, U.N. Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday, July 8th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will be at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, July 7th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.
