WOONSOCKET- Gloria M. (Latini) Laquerre, 84, of Poplar St. died Tuesday June 25, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Fernand J. Laquerre.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Santos and Dosolina (Alexandria) Latini.
Gloria worked for Finklesteins and Needlecraft and as a cashier for Almacs for several years prior to retiring.
She was a former member of of the YWCA Seniors and St. Joseph's Seniors, and the 1st Tuesday Club.
She enjoyed sewing, dancing, playing Bingo, cards and socializing with friends.
Besides her husband Fernand, she leaves one son, Paul Laquerre, of California, and one daughter, Annette and her husband Charles Valentine Jr., of Manfields, MA. Three grandchildren, Charles "Clint" Valentine III, Carolyn and Charlene Valentine, all of Mansfield, MA.
She also was the sister of the late Anthony Latini, Katherine Ducharme, and Alfred Latini.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday July 1, 2013 at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are Sunday from 4-6 P.M. in lieu of flowers donations in Gloria's memory may be made to the Woonsocket Harris Library, 303 Clinton St. Woonsocket, R.I. 02895, would be appreciated.
