Eleanor Marie Leduc
GREENVILLE- Eleanor Marie (O'Donnell) Leduc, 89, of Greenville, died Friday, June 21, 2013 in Cortland Place, Greenville. She was the wife of the late Leo A. Leduc Sr..
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Haigh) O'Donnell.
Mrs. Leduc worked for ten years as a mender for the former Rochambeau Worsted in Manville, retiring in 1995. She was previously employed at Joan Fabrics in Mohegan, Mine Safety in Esmond, and Birch Hill Poultry in North Smithfield. A former resident of Nasonville, Mohegan, and Lincoln, she was a volunteer for the Nasonville Fire Department and a member of the Nasonville American Legion Women's Auxilliary. Eleanor was formerly a very active member of St. Theresa's Parish, Nasonville.
She is survived by her two sons, Leo Leduc Jr. and his wife Annamarie of South Riding, VA, John Leduc and his wife Suzanne of Hudson, NH; two daughters, Sharon Donlon and her husband John of Woonsocket, Kathleen Fernandes and her husband Raul of Lowell, VT; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Myles O'Donnell and her three sisters, Mary Anderson, Elizabeth Hall and Anne O'Donnell.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation, will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Theresa's Church, 35 Dion Drive, Nasonville. Burial will follow in St. Theresa's Cemetery, Nasonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence RI 02906.
