BOCA RATON, FL- Armand "Ted" Tedeschi Jr., 77, of Boca Raton, FL, a longtime resident of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 after a brief illness surrounded by family.
Born in Blackstone, MA, he was the beloved husband of Judith (Rice) Tedeschi. They were high school sweethearts who married Thanksgiving Day in 1960.
He was the beloved father of Peter Tedeschi of New York and Jill Dowling of Blackstone. He was Papa to Chelsea, Lindsey and Evan Dowling. The son of Armand and Eileen (Kennedy) Tedeschi, he was brother to Robert Tedeschi, William Tedeschi, Estelle Richardson, Mary Meunier and Helen Chisholm.
He was a 1953 graduate of Blackstone High School. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. He worked as an engineer for CPC Engineering and Nelmor Inc. He was vice president of U.S. operations for Mr. Christmas before forming his own company Tinsel Town, Inc. which he and his wife Judy operated in Woonsocket for twenty-five years. He was the holder of a U.S. patent which revolutionized the design of artificial Christmas trees. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in B'Nai Israel Cemetery, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 4-7 PM.
