Irene V. Heroux

WOONSOCKET- Irene V. (Leclaire) Heroux, 69, of Woonsocket, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of Ronald F. Heroux, whom she married January 13, 1990.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Lena (Roy) Leclaire.
Irene was a 1962 graduate of Woonsocket High School and earned her Associates Degree in accounting from CCRI. She was an office supervisor for Coby Glass for 23 years and a payroll supervisor for US Property and Fiscal Office for 19 years, retiring in 2010. Irene was the past president and District Governor of Quota International and was the Quotarian of the year in 2013. She was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks and the Board of Tenant Affairs. Irene volunteered at the Stadium Theatre.
Besides her husband Ronald, she leaves her son, Alan M. Leclaire and his wife Kelly of Woonsocket; two stepsons, Bruce J. Heroux and his wife Michele and Michael P. Heroux and his wife Katherine, all of Woonsocket; her stepdaughter, Vickie A. Heroux of Cumberland; her brother, Lucien Leclaire of Woonsocket; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Desrosiers.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in All Saints Community Church, 323 Rathbun St. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 5 -8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 No. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614.
