WOONSOCKET- Maurice "Moe" N. Blanchard, 70, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away April 21, 2013 at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
He was the loving husband to Joan (Mathewson) Blanchard.
He was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Joseph & Emma (Leduc) Blanchard.
Maurice worked for the former Turex Plastic Co. in Nasonville, RI from where he retired; previously he worked for the Industrial Machine Co. He previously lived in Burrillville. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michele Jasper of North Providence, and Sandra Parrillo of East Greenwich, grandchildren, Haley, Allison, and Julia Jasper and Joseph R. Parrillo, brothers, Robert and Ronald Blanchard, and sisters, Lucille Courtemanche, and Evelyn Huguenin.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Gertrude Langlois, and Claire Ashworth, brothers, Aram, Gerald, and Roger Blanchard.
A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Thursday, at 9:30 am, in Sacred Heart Church, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Slatersville, RI. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, from 5pm until 8pm, in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
