FRANKLIN- Germaine "Jim" J. (Rondeau) Collamati 87, of Franklin, died peacefully, Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of Ernest G. Collamati for 64 years.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on July 19, 1925 a daughter of the late Arsene J. and Mary (Boucier) Rondeau, she was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
She was raised and educated in Franklin, and worked at the former Parmenter Poultry Farm and was a homemaker.
Along with her husband she enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire and Vermont, was an avid photographer, and loved listening to polka music, gardening & sewing. She treasured time spent with her whole family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 sons; Roger L. Collamati of Franklin, Robert A. Collamati of Webster and Ernest M. Collamati of Harrisville, RI, 2 brothers Marcel Rondeau of Wrentham, Roger Rondeau of Franklin, and a sister Therese Gareau of Bellingham.
She was the sister of the late Arthur & Robert Rondeau.
Also surviving are her grandchildren Derek, Melissa, and Kevin Collamati & a great granddaughter Olivia Collamati and 48 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Wednesday April 3rd, at 10AM in St. Marys Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin. Burial will follow at St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham.
Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to The Milford Humane Society PO Box 171 Medway, MA 02053.
