BURRILLVILLE - Gerald M. Blanchard 79, resident of Oakland passed away January 25, 2013 at his residence.
He was born January 3, 1934 in Oakland RI, a son of the late Joseph & Emma (Leduc) Blanchard.
Gerald worked for the Bruins Plastic Co. for 10 years; previously he worked as a radio repair man in Providence. He was a lifelong resident of Burrillville. He was a member of the Townsmens Club.
He is survived by his family sisters, Lucille Courtemanche, and Evelyn Huguenin, brothers, Robert, Ronald, and Maurice Blanchard and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Aram Blanchard and sisters, Gertrude Langlois and Claire Ashworth.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Good Help Church Victory Hwy. Mapleville. Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4pm until 7pm.
