John R. O'Neill

NORTH SMITHFIELD- John R. O'Neill 67, resident of North Smithfield passed away January 23, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
He was the husband of the late Suzanne (Stevenin) O'Neill.
He was born March 5, 1945 in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late James Harry & Rena (Mercier) O'Neill.
John owned and operated the former O'Neill's Outlet Flooring Covering Center in Cumberland for over 30 years. He was a lifelong resident of North Smithfield. He enjoyed spending his free time working on projects around his home, and also was a gifted artist. He loved to travel and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his children sons, Eric and his wife Denise, and Brian O'Neill and his wife Heather, daughters, Erin Nason and her husband Tom, Shelley O'Neill, and Jennifer Poisson and her husband Mike. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Frances Maher.
He was preceded in death by his brother Harry O'Neill.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home 445 Greenville Rd. North Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul's Church in Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Slatersville. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
