David B. Dexter

RIVERSIDE, OHIO- David B. Dexter (SMSGT retired), age 76 of Riverside, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He is preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle Dexter-Durand; and father, Charles H. Dexter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rochelle (Gauvin) Dexter; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Bowman, Denise (Rodney) Helton, Diane (Bill) King; grandsons, Don Olson, David Olson, Rodney Helton, Levi Helton, and William Yoder; six great-grandchildren; nephews, Tom and Eric Dexter.
Dave was born April 8, 1936 and graduated from Woonsocket HS in 1953. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and proudly served 21 years active duty, 20 years Civil Service at WPAFB before retiring in 1984. Dave continued working at Wright Patt as a subcontractor and then volunteered at the base hospital. He attended St. Helens Catholic Church. He also volunteered with the Catholic Social Services Food Bank and enjoyed traveling, bowling, and working around the yard.
He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
A gathering of friends will be held from 3 6 PM on Sunday (TODAY), January 20, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home- North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, American Kidney Fund, or a charity of ones choice. Condolences may be made to the family at
