NORTH SMITHFIELD- Peter L. O'Hara, Jr., 86, of No. Smithfield, died January 13, 2013 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of Thelma L. (Aldrich) O'Hara.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Peter L. O'Hara, Sr. and Josephine (Stefanik) O'Hara.
Mr. O'Hara was a mutual clerk at the former Lincoln Downs.
Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Marla Carchia of Forestdale, Kathleen Monfette of Burrillville, Karen Nadem-Mallaei of San Antonio, TX, Kurt O'Hara of North Smithfield and Timothy O'Hara of North Smithfield; his sister, Jane Feeley; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Keith P. O'Hara and Brian "Mack" O'Hara, his brother, Thomas F. O'Hara and his sister, Kathleen Asmussen.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10 AM in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours are Friday from 5 until 8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
