WOONSOCKET- Laurette D. Marchand 92, of Poplar St. died Tuesday at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Adelard F. Marchand.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Leda (Carle) St. Sauveur. Mrs. Marchand worked as a weaver for most of her life in several area textile mills.
Mrs. Marchand is survived by her son Dr. Donald A. Marchand PHD of Switzerland, three daughters, Dr. Lucille R. Marchand MD of Madison, WI, Carol M. Vincent of Springfield, MA and Linda Piotrowski of Woonsocket. a sister Theresa Desmarais of Cumberland, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by seven siblings.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Woon.
