JOHNSTON- Edgar O. St. Pierre, resident of Johnston died January 14, 2013 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI in Providence.
He was born November 9, 1923 in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Ovide & Rosalba (Gallant) St. Pierre.
Edgar was a career Navy veteran serving 35 years; he was in WWII where he served in the Pacific on a LST. He was a resident of Johnston previously he lived in Mapleville. He was a member of the LST association.
He is survived by his son Stephen St. Pierre of Springfield VA, grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel St. Pierre, brother, Charles Andre St. Pierre of Quincy MA, sisters, Florence Foster of Chepachet, Elaine Enright of Storrs Mansfield CT, and Estelle Young of Whitinsville, and his loving companion, Jennie Coia of Johnston.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert & Lucien St. Pierre.
A committal service along with military honors will be held Friday at 10am in RI Veterans Cemetery South County Trail in Exeter. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4pm until 6pm in the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy Oakland.
