BLACKSTONE- Joan C. Briere, 66, of Blackstone St. Blackstone, Mass., died Friday January 4, 2013 in the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge with her family by her side.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Raoul and Jean (Evan) Briere.
She was former owner and operator of Casablanca, in Fall River, Mass. Joan enjoyed gardening and yard work and she loved her animals.
She is survived by one brother, Ralph A. Briere Sr., of Woonsocket, R.I. and two sisters Doris O'Neil, of Blackstone, Mass and Mae Choiniere, of Arizona. Nine nieces and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Home service will be held Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11 A.M, in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, R.I. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Saturday from 10A.M. - 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. Suite 3004, Warwick R.I. 0886.
