New principals for Pothier, Coleman

WOONSOCKET — Students at the Kevin K. Coleman and Gov. Aram J. Pothier elementary schools will see new faces in the Principals' office at their schools following action by both the School Committee and state-appointed Budget Commission.
The School Committee on Wednesday appointed Lisa Jacques, a veteran math teacher at the high school, to the vacancy at Coleman Elementary School and named Dr. Donna Raptakis, a Coventry School Department administrator and special education teacher, as principal of Pothier Elementary School by unanimous votes.
