BURRILLVILLE- Eileen M. Berard, 80, lifelong resident of Nasonville, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Care Unit.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late James and Edith (Ferris) Murphy.
Loving wife to the late Gerard "Bug a boo" Berard.
Eileen was a die hard Red Sox fan, who also enjoyed visiting Foxwoods Casino and yelling out BINGO! She loved her Dunkin Donuts coffee and her Maple frosted donut. Eileen was a very strong, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Gary of Milbury, MA, Gerald of Houston, TX and James Berard of Nasonville; daughters Gale OLeary of Lincoln, MT, Kathleen Berard of Joppa, MD and Shirley Brunelle of Woonsocket; 11 grandchildren, one of which was a granddaughter, Sara Brunelle, who took care of Eileen during her illness; 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Ochaba of Woonsocket and Shirley Wallace of Florida.
Eileen was the mother to the late Joseph, Robert, Jeffrey, Gerard Jr. and Nancy Berard. Also the sister to the late James Murphy.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11Am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Theresas Cemetery in Nasonville. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 9AM-11AM.
