BLACKSTONE- Mrs. Mary M. (Thomas) Chita, of Park St., Blackstone, died July 24, 2011 at home. She was the wife of the late John P. Chita
Born Aug. 1, 1921 in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Hollings and Martha (Allsop) Thomas. She was a Blackstone resident most of her life.
Mary worked for the former Tupperware Company, the Polytop Corporation and Donnellys Jewelry Manufacturer.
She was a member of the Blackstone School Department PTA and enjoyed gardening and dancing with her late husband.
She is survived by five sons, John of Pascoag, Paul of Uxbridge, David of Danielson, CT, Stephen of Blackstone and Dr. Michael Chita of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Mary Notorantonio of Blackstone; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Thomas Chita and two twin infants and sister of the late Phillip and Arthur Thomas.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Service at 10am in the Polish National Catholic Church, Great Rd., No. Smithfield. Burial will follow in Parish Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 8 pm
