BLACKSTONE- Muriel B. Lafond, 67, of Blackstone, loving and devoted wife of Normand R. Lafond, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, November 26, 2010. She and Normand recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. She was the daughter of the late J. Almanzor and Annette (Berube) Pelletier .
She is survived by 1 son and 4 daughters and their spouses, Paul Lafond and his wife Paula of Blackstone, MA, Laurie Meikle and her husband Richard of Jacksonville, FL, Theresa Lafond and her life partner, Randi Young of Memphis, TN, Michelle Lafond and her life partner, Derek Collum of Jacksonville, FL, and Christine Byron and her husband James Jr. of Uxbridge, MA. She had 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Cecile Phaneuf.
Mrs. Lafond's funeral will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2010 from the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA followed by a mass at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Church, St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Gaskill St., Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 pm.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated.
