Robert G. Saillant, Sr.

WOONSOCKET- Robert G. Saillant, Sr., 65, of Rodman St., died April 13, 2014 at home. He was the loving and devoted husband of Blanche E. (Beausoleil) Saillant, whom he was married to for forty-six years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Theodore and Theresa (Kemp) Saillant.
Mr. Saillant worked as a foreman for the New England Insulation Company before retiring in 2012. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family and grandchildren at the ocean. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by their two sons, Robert Saillant, Jr. and his wife Angela of Blackstone, MA, and Jeffrey Saillant and his wife Robin of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Shane, Emma and Brooke; his brother, Theodore Saillant, Jr. of MA; two sisters, Margaret Guillet and her husband Louis of Burrillville, and Susan Godin and her husband Richard of Springfield, MA. He was the brother of the late Richard Saillant.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014, beginning with visitation at 4:30PM followed by a service at 7:30PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929.
