Cumberland High shuttered by burst pipe

CUMBERLAND – Classes were expected to resume today at Cumberland High School, which was closed Monday after a pipe that heats a section of the building froze and ruptured Saturday, flooding at least 12 classrooms on three floors with water, school officials said.

The mishap occurred around 12:30 p.m. and involved an isolated heating pump drive coupler, which causes water to flow through a pipe that heats a section of the school.
