Assault charge may rise to murder with Salvi's death

WOONSOCKET – Catherine Salvi’s boyfriend could be charged with her murder before the end of the week, depending on the results of her autopsy, law enforcement sources say.

Emmanuel “Manny” Algaria, 21, is charged with felony domestic assault after he allegedly attacked Salvi more than three weeks ago. He’s due back in court on Friday for a previously scheduled hearing.
